The Mangosteen Category

Mangosteen has been enjoyed for a very long time throughout Southeast Asia and the flavor is so delightful that it is known there as the "Queen of Fruits." The hard, purple rind is too hard to eat, but that fleshy white pulp in the center tastes divine and has the consistency of soft marshmallows.

Mangosteen Fruit

The catch is, however, that one must ingest the very hard rind to get the benefits... The white part of the fruit tastes great, but doesn't have any health benefits worth speaking of... It's the finely-chopped rind of the mangosteen which is being tested as a superfruit powerhouse, and if you ever see any health drinks based on mangosteen, you'll notice that they are purple, not white.

It's only recently that scientists have singled out mangosteen for the title of Superfruit, and it's for many good reasons. Clearly they have benefits that far outweigh simple, household fruits.

Mangosteen's largest antioxidant source is xanthone, which does of course help the human body like all antioxidants do, but xanthone actually has fewer benefits to the human body than do many other antioxidants, such as anthocyanins. Even still, it contains many vitamins, nutrients, and trace elements needed by the human body and research is still very young on this superfruit.

Fresh Mangosteen Eau De Parfum

Fresh Laboratories unveils Mangosteen Eau de Parfum which draws upon the exotic, bright, and succulent scent of mangosteen, a fragrant super fruit native to Southeast Asia. To create this unique, energizing scent, Lev Glazman, co-founder and director of research and development of Fresh, focused on the juiciest part of the mangosteen fruit, the white pulp in the center.
